Carlisle 2022
 

I saw a post on FB Sunday that Carlisle is featuring SSPs for the 2022 Ford Nationals (nothing confirmed on their website yet).

Sharing this here for planning purposes.

I'm in with the '93 FHP. Hope to see a bunch of you there.

I am HIGHLY interested in going to this show. It's been a couple of decades since I last attended (back then I lived 1.5 hours from Carlisle). A buddy and I would go up for the weekend and sleep in my car (a 63.5 Galaxie).

It would be nice to attend a show having a large contingent of SSP Mustangs, but being a participant rather than just a spectator. Don't get me wrong; I loved going to PITS2021! But I do have the itch to get back into an SSP again. I just need to take care of a few more things first. ;) Otherwise I'll just be a spectator.

So I found the video and announcement.

They are billing it as the "Anniversary" of the SSP. 82-22. Ken at the 02:18 mark.

This was my first year going to this show and it was awesome. I will definitely be going for 2022, hopefully with my 92 SC unmarked, if I can get some paint on it by then!

Seems like the featured cars are getting notified and things are moving forward. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Should be a fun trip. Of course it’s the cars that brought many of us together, but it’s the people that really make it special. Thanks!

Carlisle is shaping up! We are only 1 entry away from having a club/hospitality tent at the event, provided by the Carlisle folks. Minimum number is 25 members. So far, we rank 9th on the list of clubs who have signed up. If you or someone you know is on the fence, please encourage them to register. :)

Does someone want to loan me their SSP to bring? Driver quality condition is fine by me! :p

You don't have to bring an SSP...register your pickup! As long as we get to 25 members, it doesn't matter. :)

Tent paperwork is in....I also rented some extra tables and chairs. I'm bringing a tabletop pellet grill and some power as well. Looking forward to it!

I am registered as part of "the club", even though I don't presently have an SSP. I promise I will not slap emergency lights onto my red F150.

I noticed our group landed back in the Top 10 of most registrants, which is good news. Hopefully that continues.
