on my 87 FHP they were still screwed to the core support also. Not sure when they started the stapling process. My 88 MOHP bucktags were also screwed on the same way.

welcome! I'd buy this one for sure if i don't have this ssp I'm restoring slowly, hope someone can save this nice shape 87 FHP ssp, I've not seen single 87 FHP SSP all intact except Jim Young's 87 FHP SSP.

That FHP might be the car that the patrol ordered in California, had it shipped to Florida and painted it black and tan, so the Governor could have a car to take his mistress on a date and be able to shift gears and play with the siren...but I could be wrong.
