Very nice Bill. Cannot wait to see it next summer.

Thanks guys. Bobby and I have finalized the details on repainting the car. It will be getting the full treatment. I will need to order some parts (drip rails, belt moldings, side moldings, and emblems) because the ones on the car will be coming off. I plan to wait for some Black Friday sales before ordering those parts. The window trim and side 1/4 windows will be removed as part of the body prep prior to paint (the plan will be to restore the windows I have if nicer OEM ones cannot be found for reasonable money).

It is a bit more of a project than I had intended to bite off at this time, but I told Bobby that I will never regret doing things the right way. The final result should look great. Being factory red SSP with a nice in-service history, it will certainly be an attention-getter.

Obviously this is not a great thing to see. I knew the paint on the hood was cracked, and now we can see why. Both Bobby and I are gonna look for a new hood. I hope the rest of the body is decent once Bobby takes off the paint. It WILL look great once the body and paint are done! :)

As an aside, the museum received my payment today for the radio equipment and magnetic decals, so those should be shipped soon.

Thanks for the teaser pics, Bobby! I like the shot of the driver's side because of the GSP car in the upper left corner of the photo. The PCSD car will look awesome when it is completed. I only hope it's not gonna be too nice to drive. ;)

Too nice to drive? That's what cars are made for, regardless of the condition.

Oh don't worry, Mike. This car is gonna get around. :)
