Nice DHSMV sticker! The guy I worked with said his was a former FHP...but it was a 5 speed, so I assumed it had been a marked unit.

So is the dhsmv sticker a good clue that's its fhp..?

1983 = brown 1984-89 = tan 1990-93 = grey Some of the unmarked cars had the same trim as the marked cars of the same model year. Others not so much, probably due to the fact that the paint color of the unmarked car would not allow the same interior color as the marked cars. Ford didn't start putting special paint colors on the SSP door tags until the 1989 model year but I believe FHPs with no paint code on their door tag were marked cars and those those with a paint code were unmarked. |
So it was probably just an unmarked patrol car ordered by Levy County Sheriffs Department..?

Look at an Auto check on this vehicle. Had an accident in 90 and 93 so you might be able to get info that way through the Accident report case numbers. Has had 3 or 4 owners.

MY guess is it was an unmarked FHP first, being that it has a DHSMV sticker, and then an LCSO car second. Some county and city/town/village departments got second-hand cars from states when the states were done with them.
The DSO buck tag would probably tell you whom ordered it, unless it just says "DSO POLICE", but since you said that's gone it's going to be more difficult to figure it out. Tom's suggestion on looking up the accident reports is a good start. |

That hole, while not the typical round one, is a common location that FHP used to route the radio wiring. http://www.specialservicemustang.net...87interior.jpg |
