So it looks like 82's are becoming a more common CHP. How many exist now?
Has anyone thought of making a CHP only SSP registry (FoxChassis do this yet?) for existing cars(found on CL, on another forum, known restored cars, ect). I know ORG has their VIN registry, but I was thinking something more detailed. Not everyone registers their cars there too. Any ideas? I wouldn't mind trying to do something like this. |
Sam, we are compiling information for our own VIN research project, as discussed here:
http://www.specialservicemustang.net...ead.php?t=3239 It's a fairly labor-intensive undertaking, but with Winter fast approaching we will be able to make some progress with it. In terms of this 82, I sent the seller an email and asked for the last 6 of his VIN and if he knows its CHP Unit Number. We can add that info to the 82 section. I also texted the guy near Seattle to get the info on his 82 CHP as well. |
I am not keeping track of any where a VIN is not known. Just went through the database. I have 105 entered from '82 through '86. ...

Someone was keeping track a while ago. I think there's somewhere around 20that have surfaced now. Maybe a few more. About a third of those have popped up in the last few years. I can't wait to get one again!
