getting base coat then four coats of clear. Then wet sanded and buffed in about 60 days. My new paint guy went back over the car with a fine tooth comb and this car is going to be laser straight when he gets it done.

That thing is going to be NICE.

Jim, I'm going through the same stages with the WI SSP. It was papered, primed and now painted. They will be putting the fenders, doors, trunk, hood etc back on this week. It sure makes you feel great watching it all come together. Looking forward to seeing yours when it's done.

George,
It should be sprayed tomorrow. i am excited about getting the car finished as I have some pretty neat plans for it after it is completed. I am going to take a couple of months putting it all back together then it is going to Florida for a reunion of sorts.... : ) I guess I missed the thread about the WI car. Were you able to get confirmation from the state patrol that they owned the car? Are there any in service pics out there showing the equipment configuration etc?? That would be a cool car to own... |
Jim,
I had talked with the people that took care of the installing equipment in the SSP Mustangs. All the holes, antenna pattern, etc show it was a WI SSP. They saw it up close and checked it out. So far no interior pictures or info records on these cars. They did give me most of the installation, model and make of equipment and location. I have most of the equipment ready to install when I get it back. I'll post some starting to finish photos soon. |
Very nice Jim, that one is going to be one sweet ride. Lightbar or slick top?
