Would $1500 be a better price if the are near perfect?

No way!
He will have those for awhile!
Definitely nice but that's insane!!

Holy c%&p! Well, I have a lovely set of four CHP takeoff 10-holes with caps included (my car's originals) that I'd sell for a fraction of that guy's pipedream price.

Two are still shod with nicely worn but rare General XP2000-AS rubber and one wheel even has a gen-u-ine CHP academy paint pen number marking on it...perfect for use with any EVOC car. :D

I think they are worth it if you have a concours show car. These are a rare find. I have a set of four with like new Gatorbacks that I would sell for $1800.

I also have a set of five 1985 / 1986 restored wheels and center caps with like new Gatorbacks for sale too.

Lastly, I have one set of NOS Gatorbacks.

Wasn't there some discussion about Coker Tire releasing the Goodyear Gatorbacks some time in the near future?

When I bought my 86 GT convertible new as a dealer demo it had 16 x 8 Enkei 92s on it, so I found a set of mint/no miles 10 hole dealer take offs in MI in late 86 for $250 (including shipping to MN). Of course I did not hold on to them, but sold them about 10 years later after I modified the car to a point of no return. Wish I would have kept them, but they would not have fit my stock 89 or 90 anyway.

Saleen used to sell a "new take off" set for around $500 back in the day.

When the 16" Pony's debuted from Ford, I had to have a set for my 86 GT.

Mind you and taking you back in time, it was the first year those rims were available and only available via a wrecked Mustang OR buying directly from Ford. I paid in excess of $1k for my first complete set of 16" Pony rims... eh... To me, worth every penny back then... :)

for 2500 bucks it better come with the 88 SSP
