1992 SSP FHP #1164
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
With the recent addition of a 93 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP that I am restoring, it's time to sell the 92 Florida Highway Patrol #1164 SSP. Although it is a modified version of a former in-service FHP SSP...collective gasp is now out of the way...this is a FUN car with a TON of relevant and quality documentation the vehicle (including original title; other FL paperwork; receipts from resto; etc). While a 2nd gasp is likely to eminate from many in the Forum about the price (asking $19,500)...additional gasp now out of the way...the documentation is deep and a sizable amount of $$$ has been invested into this car (engine, exterior, interior). The result is very high quality paint, body (including clean underside), interior condition and engine work. I'm thankful to John Malloy (one of the prior owners active on this site) who completed much of the work on the vehicle. My digital photos are generally too large (resolution) to post here, so I've attached a summary document (in Microsoft Word) and also included a link to another thread on this Forum where Eric Prince posted a couple photos of my car. If you scroll down that thread you will find 2 photos. Link to thread below: http://www.specialservicemustang.net...ead.php?t=1247 Should anyone have an interest, please direct to my personal email address ann_mike_patterson@msn.com and I'll be happy to answer questions and/or send photos to your personal email address. Additionally, I can be contacted at (313) 220-0419. While this car may not appeal to everone in the Forum, the person who chooses to buy it will truly not be disappointed. If I do not receive much in the way of interest here, my plan is to consign it through a large collector car firm here in Metro Detroit or another one I have in mind in St. Louis (may consider 1 crack at Ebay, but not sure I want the hassle there). Warm Regards, Mike Livonia, Michigan |
Good luck with the sale.

New price
Hello,
Decreasing price to $17,500 or best offer. Reasonable given quality of documentation and $$$ invested into the interior/exterior/engine. Need to sell in order to free up space and reuse the funds towards resto initiated on my 93 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP. If no interest will post on Ebay and if necessary place over winter in a consignment shop I've been in contact. Warm Regrards, |
It looks nice. May be hard to sell right now though, unless you can get to a well heeled collector that can appreciate it. Maybe some one in Naples for instance. Just a thought. Good luck Charlie

1992 Florida just listed

I was wondering where that car went. I saw it at several car shows in MN in 2007 (very nice car too), but nothing this year. I guess I have the only SSP in MN that attends car shows now (at least at the 7 shows I attended with my SSP this year).

Eric - Thanks for the kind words. Can't wait to finish the 93 Missour State Highway Patrol SSP.
Bob - My family and I moved to Metro Detroit approx. 1 year ago...my job transferred here. We lived in Twin Cities (transferred there w/my employer) for about 6 years and loved it there. Hence no car shows in Twin Cities this past summer, however, 5 car shows with the FHP this year in Michigan and 5 trophies including best in class at local SAAC show at Ford WHQ and the Mustang Owners Club of Southeast Michigan's 20th Mustang Memories Show. Sorry I didn't get a chance to see your SSP...would have loved to show them together. Send me an email ann_mike_patterson@msn.com as I'd love to see it. We miss the Twin Cities but are enjoying ourselves here in Michigan - not nearly as harsh of winter weather. Thank you, |
Hello,
Continuing to aggressively try and move my FHP SSP. Have relisted on Ebay with a further reduced price - once listing is public in next day you'll see $14,500 buy it now price. This car has never run better thanks to $4,000 that I invested November and December of 2008 with Livernois Motorsports (Michigan) to go through the engine top-to-bottom to ensure optimal performance and implement improvements where I desired. Those improvements include: cylinder heads and all associated parts were replaced; harmonic balancer; initial diagnostics / engine Dyno tuned; new spark plugs; oil & filter change; etc. An excellent deal to be had for someone given $$$$ invested into the engine/interior/exterior and quality of documentation. I'm selling in order to free up space and reuse the funds towards restoration I'm doing on recently purchased 1993 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP. While I haven't pursued yet, there must be some in-service photos of the car with the police report based upon the threads I've been reading. The carfax report lists a Florida Case # from an 11/20/94 police report. Warm Regrards, |
