Here is another 1993 CHP I found on the Sacramento Craigslist.

Salvage History - already checked on it

According to the owner it was a hit on the fron end, the fender. If you are looking to enjoy the car and not worry about the re-sell value, this is a great starting point. Being a SALVAGE title will only help you get it for a lot less, peanuts. Just expect to get a lot less than the going price when you are ready to sell.

He wants $6000 and when I asked him for pictures he never sent them - he also said that the car was never hit when I called him - even after I confronted him with the carfax showing an accident while he owned it - sounds like a kid but def an out and out liar - I would buy from a kid like that unless the car was 3k!

6k is way too much for a car with salvage title. IMO

I would offer him $1,500 after explaining to him that he is going to have a hard time selling it with that title.

salvage title does not always mean accident history.

My friend does police tows and has an impound yard.
Every car that goes unclaimed and he ends up keeping gets branded with a salvage title by the state even if they have zero damage
