Under hood light question

What is correct for a 1986 SSP under hood light location, driver's side or passenger side? There is a mounting spot on each side and the wire seems long enough to reach from either side. I know on my 1986 GT it is on the driver's side, but I thought it might be different for the SSPs. Thanks,

Mine are driver side but I don't have a 4-eyed Mustang SSP.

Thanks for the reply, but the hood and underhood light are completely different on the 87-93 Mustangs. I think the same style was used on the 83-86 (79-82 had a different hood and light too).
