Returned from roadtrip to pickup 89 MNSP SSP

Well I returned at 1:30am EST today from driving home my new 1989 Minnesota State Patrol SSP Mustang from the northwoods of Wisconsin. A nice scenic, but long 10 hour drive after spending 1/2 my day in airports travelling to the small airport in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Good news is sold my NCSHP SSP while waiting on a layover at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. That bad news is layers of bugs to deal with today on the front of the SSP.

I know everyone likes pictures so thought I'd post a few of them up from my drive home. Much of my drive parallels Lake Michigan. I particularly like the photo with the Lighthouse in the background. The large bridge is the Mackinac Bridge, which separates Michigan's UP (Upper Peninsula) and the Lower Peninsula.

Through the network I've been able to make some great progress learning specifically about my SSP's history and the Minnesota State Patrol SSP's in general. I'll post up some of that info later in another post. Albeit probably a smaller one, I see publishing another History & Restoration Guidebook in my future...only this time Minnesota as opposed to North Carolina.

Thanks for the pics. Glad to hear you had a nice ride back home. Sounds like time well-spent.

EDIT: Congrats on selling the NCSHP!

sounds like a nice trip. Mine was a 14 hour kamikaze run down I 75 and back. Looks like a nice car also.

Gentleman - Thanks for the nice comments...I'm really looking forward to preserving this one. First on the list are new tires, which am going to do this Friday. Need to remove the Goodyear Gatorbacks, although, I will be keep them for now and probably will end up selling them.
