need measurements for CHP grote light brackets

Anybody have measurements for the rear window brackets in a CHP car?
I was able to cut the angle iron and drill and match up the holes for the base piece from the existing holes in the package tray. One base the passengers side was 9 1/4 " and the drivers side was 16 3/4". I need how far from the center of the car to weld the upright brackets to the bases. I also need the height of these upright pieces.
Thanks

Did you buy the ones through Amazon.com?

No, I decided I would get some angle iron and make them. A friend was going to weld them for me. I just need to mark them so he can weld them in the right spot. I found Grote housings on ebay.

On my car, the single light upright measures 20 3/4" from center of car and the double light upright measures 12 1/2". Both uprights are 4" high at their highest point with the ends matching the radius of the Grote housing ends.

Hope that helps ya!

Welding is done on the brackets! Hopefully I can pick them up today and post pics when I get the lights attached...Going to look at some grey seats from an 86 notch. I hope they are in good shape..

Sounds good Jack. If it helps, here is a pic of the lights and brackets I bought for my CHP -

Bill, the style bracket you have for the blue light is not typical of what was used in the Mustangs. Note the one in my car and check out all the in-service photos here and in my fotki album to compare:

Mike,

Thanks for pointing that out. I need to fix the resto doc as well. Looks like Bill got the same bracket that I did from Mr. Read. My amber/red bracket lined up perfectly into the existing holes in my '82, but I missed the difference in the other brackets.

Not sure what vehicle that incorrect bracket belongs on, probably some full size sedan. Luckily, the Mustang bracket would be simple to fabricate if need be.
