New guy from the Netherlands

Hi guys (and girls?),

My name is Mack and I'm from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I'm 30 yrs old.

I've always been a fan of Mustangs, even though you won't find many in Europe. Officially they aren't imported, so every Mustang here is imported one by one. In 2006 my first car was a Mustang: a 95 V6 coupe. After 4 years of fun I upgraded, and I bought a 1998 supercharged Mustang GT, in the rare color Bright Atlantic Blue, which I imported from Maryland.

I love my blue ride, and I'm a fan of all Mustangs, 1965 to present. However, next to my bright blue one, there is one Mustang that I would love to own: a 80s police Mustang.

I've seen one in Germany once but I don't think there are many around here. I've registred here so I can keep my eyes open, and maybe there will be a nice one for me in the future.

I'm looking for a SSP which is complete in police livery and in good shape. I've seen on this forum you value an original car, for me this is less important but I'm not looking for a circus attraction. I would like one that is easily recognisable as cop car by the average European, so with some emergency lights. Preferably I would like one from 1986 or earlier, since these are roadtax-free in Holland, but I think these are more rare.

I hope I will learn a lot about these special cars in the meantime. I'm not in a hurry to find one, I already have a great Mustang.

Here's a pic of my GT:

Welcome to the site. Keep looking here and .org and I am sure you will find an SSP.

I lived in Germany for 2 years and you are right, there are not many mustangs in Europe. You almost have to import one from the states or buy one off of an American GI. By the way, I spent 3 weeks in Nijmegen back in the early '90s and I have to say you live in a beautyfull country....

Welcome to NET, Mack.

I also had a bright atlantic blue '98....loved that color.

Good luck with your search.

@ ABN2060: Thanks, I drive my Mustang to Nijmegen every now and then, my girlfriend's sister lives there.

@ ImEvil1: Thanks, BAB is indeed the best color for a SN95. Absolutely love it, I don't see myself ever selling it.

I cannot argue with you on that point. BAB is a beautiful color and was my preferred color of choice when we went shopping for our son's project car (we got Dark Satin Green Metallic, which was only available in 98).

Welcome to the forum!
