1987 WSP SSP Mustang - 710WSP - For Sale
All,
As you know, I am liquidating some of my fleet to focus on the cars that need more attention. And, being I am out of room, some things need to go. I wanted to offer my 1987 WSP Mustang here first before going the EBay route - and hopefully keep it in the SSP "family". 710WSP was the plate # and was driven by Trooper Herron (who is still on active duty with the WSP and I am in regular contact with). The WSP asset # was 16-7-014. I have all of the original service records from the WSP that came with the car. I am the second owner of the vehicle since it was auctioned in 1994. When I found the car in 2006 - it had been kept in West Seattle for 12 years as an occasional driver by the gentleman that bought the car from auction. I reunited the car with Trooper Herron a few years ago - and he's been very interested and helpful with the car while trying to restore it. Even received some in-service pics of the car. The car is completely stock. I wanted to finish up the restoration, but given my time commitments, it's time to see if someone else wants to finish it up - or - represent another agency. Here's the stats on the car - still need to take complete pics and will do so soon. Can send more if anyone is interested: - 105,XXX original miles - Oxford White exterior - Regatta blue interior - 5 speed manual transmission - No power options (manual windows, manual door locks, seat, etc.) - No cruise control - Had new tires put on 2 years ago - have placed maybe 700 miles on them since then - I have put in a number of parts from Late Model Resto, etc. - and won't go into detail here on the small stuff - happy to talk about all the items I have put into it. (i.e. new headlight kit with Ford buckets, floor mats, new emblems, etc.) - Has a spotlight that will go back on the car (with Unity S-6 head) - it's not shown in the pics. - New windshield installed What it needs/improvements: - Car was completely sanded down and repainted recently - looks good, but will need some rework on the trunk where some small glitches have formed (i.e. cracking). And I see one small spot on the roof where paint is showing some cracking (about the size of a pencil eraser head). - Power steering rack has a small leak - will need to be replaced eventually - A/C is not working - and has not worked since I bought it - all the parts are there, but likely needs to be gone through and recharged. I am assuming the old R-12 is in there and will need to be cleaned out. - Door seals need to be replaced - old ones are worm/ripped at bottom Car drives great. Lots of power, and very smooth. Buck tags and DSO tag are in-place. Took it to a show this weekend and was a pleasure to drive. Clutch is tight - shifts are nice and firm. I have a twin to this car that has higher miles - and you can absolutely feel the difference in the miles (this one has lower miles). Equipment that I have gathered - which is available with the car for an additional fee: - WSP specific/custom GE MASTR II control head (with WSP logo) - GE Radio (for trunk) - Correct WSP/original JUMP-PAK box for trunk (Jumper cable connections) - Partition roll bar/cage (only 2 are known to exist - 1 is in my friend's PCSD car) - and this car had one originally. - PA 200 Siren controller (with WSP tag) - comes with GE microphone for MASTR II system - Uniden 500XL CB radio (purchased new) - Whip antennas for quarter panels and roof - Control box (new) - Reproduced from an original WSP control box for light toggle switches - Light toggle switch panel (original) - Kustom Trooper radar unit w/ single antenna (has WSP tags) - Shotgun boot - WSP jetsonic lightbar (chain driven - needs to be rebuilt) - does not have gutter clamps - Gooseneck ticket light (from Sylvania/Ostram) - New mudflaps (originals come with car) - Correct H1 Unity head with blue lens (that can go on the existing Unity shaft on car). I have pics of it when I bought it all the way up to current day. Will miss it for sure, but need to pare down the # of cars and focus on the ones I plan on keeping long-term. I am looking to get $6,800 for the car. WSP equipment would be an additional fee - happy to work out a bundle price for someone who is interested. Great car with lots of well-documented history - and - a connection to the trooper who is still in-service and very excited about the car. PM or e-mail me if interested in more info - happy to discuss in more detail. And, will work on getting pics up within the week.
