A different look.....

Did a "cartoonize" of a prospect of mine. 1990 SSP, Medium Cabernet. Looking to do a complete interior upgrade in sand beige as it is currently gutted and looking at the 5 lug SVE 10th Anniversary rims. What ya think?

This is how it looks now:

It should look good. I am not a fan of those style of hoods myself, but I am sure it will look good on your car.
Good luck.

That's Tom's old SSP! When did you acquire it?

Here's my brother's old notch (not an SSP) with OE 10th Anniv. Cobra wheels. Has Baer disc brakes all around and tires did not rub. If you stick to rear drum, you can run a deep dish aftermarket "SVE" wheel for a more aggressive look.

Not sure if I'm going with a cowl hood or not. The picture that I had was of a buddies white notch with the hood that he got off of Tom. His stock white hood is on the cabernet notch.

I have been working on getting it for about 5 weeks. Tom is out on the road and it makes things difficult when wanting to do business. Totally geared on getting it. Got the green light from the Mrs.:D

Did you ever determine where your SSP originally served from the Buck Tags or VIN label? If you haven't already done so, please post up those pictures so we can add your car to our VIN Project.

Personally, I am not a big fan of the cowl hood simply on the basis that so many people add them to their Mustangs. It's just way overdone, IMO, even though I know in some instances they are required for add'l hood clearance issues.

I think it is great that you are taking a dedicated track car and returning it to street use. Although most of us here prefer SSPs to be returned to stock, this is still a "save". :)

The car is not his....yet.

Sal is correct. As stated above, still waiting for the owner, Tom, to return from a roadtrip. Once we make contact, I will be able to obtain the information, seal the deal and start the process to make it mine. I already have a dedicated company that is my parts source, here in San Diego. A shout out to Vince (svt3434) for the help.

Thanks for that shout out Marshall! I own a 1985 CHP SSP that I am returning to stock form minus the lights, sirens, etc, since they are rare and hard to come by. If anyone needs good used OEM parts for our beloved SSP's, let me know, I may have it. 13 5.0 cars in my posession, six coupes.

NOW you tell me........... after mine is completed lol

You can run deep dish with disk brakes too..

On an SSP ? Not so much..

Looks amazing but kills the car...
