Got my GSP letter of permission today :-)
 

Well I finally got my letter of permission in mail today! For those that do not know Ga. Prohibits the use of the Ga seal and wording such as Georgia State Patrol with out written permission from the Commissioner of the Dep. of Public Safety. Now I can give my decal guy the go ahead for my GSP decals to be put on static :-) ... It's a good day ...

How long did it take and what all did the permission letter say?

It took about 2 weeks. It just basically says that he has received my request, and states the Department of Public Safety Nomenclature act governs the use of Georgia State Patrol terminology and emblems and requires his permission before someone can use them. It then says he grants the permission. it states the vehicle marked with the GSP terminology may only be used related to the hobby as a collector of police vehicles, and the vehicle cannot be driven on public roads with the decals.
