CHP SSP Assignment Cards UPDATE

2 Attachment(s)
I made it to the CHP Academy today around 1300.
Towed the SSP down from Oregon.

It's been hot and dry all year, the only day all year it decides to rain is.... you guessed it.... yeasterday and TODAY.
POURED 2 different times 2 different locations driving down Interstate 5.
Anyway, it's a very welcoming thing with all of the fires.

I talked to Robert Reed, as he was one of the first to greet me as I arrived.
He's doing good and working hard on the new HD Motorcycles, fabricating brackets etc. for those Motors. He and another rode a couple of the new bikes over to greet us.

My first question to him was about the CHP SSP assignment cards.
Not good news.

Unfortunately...... ALL Assignment cards are gone. When the new supervisor took over, the assignment cards disapeared. Apparently they cleaned house and all old info went to the dumpsters.

So, anyone looking for assignment cards for their SSP's are out of luck.
If you have an assignment card, feel very fortunate !
It's unfortunate. Sad deal.

The BBQ was excellent ! A lot of really nice CHP Vehciles. Here's a picture of a very nice and clean 1992 Camaro.

Will get more pics tomorrow.

Sorry for the bad news guys.
John

Thanks for checking.

You are welcome for asking. I asked if by chance someone was able to get the box or if it was given to someone. The answer was no, they are gone.

It baffles me the mentality of some of these supervisors. I believe their ego's over ride their ass most the time. They only look at " their " mission, not the whole picture or larger mission.

Their way or no way. Most of these guys climb the ranks fast because they are affraid of working the road, let a lone don't WANT to work the road, and most likely many have worked a year or less on the road when they come indoors behind a desk, start answering phones and decide " wow... this is for me !! "

That is when they become, the California HALLWAY Patrol, and not the California Highway Patrol.

BUT... they can sure tell YOU how to do it !! ok.. I'll stop now.... before I get too far out of line lol

I'll try to get some pics of the cars today. Heading over there now

That's too bad to hear. Is that Dawgman's (Ryan) Camaro...if so had the pleasure of seeing it a few times, very nice.

That wasn't the news I was hoping for.

Yes that is Retired CHP K-9 Officer Ryan Briceland's 1992 Camaro.
And it is VERY nice. Everything works on that car.
The car is like new inside and out !

Very impressive car.

Ryan's car is the stuff of legend. Did you ask him about when he washed his wheels in the hotel bathroom before one of the shows? :)

I have not been to a show with him where the "ribbing" hasn't commenced about that one. The car is mint and a nice person too.
