This stuff has skyrocketed......

Just for fun I went on eBay and did a search "ssp mustang".

I had it list everything starting with "highest price" first.

I cannot believe the prices people are asking for this stuff.

Holy crap..............

Yup. The thing I hate when searching for "SSP Mustang" online (sites like dailylister.com, which pulls up CL and ebay) are all of the Matchbox CHP cars that people are selling. There are literally dozens of those Matchbox auctions going on at any given time.

Asking and getting is two different things. I'm involved in a few different car groups. Each group has two or three clowns who post up "rare" parts for 10x what any sane person would pay. I think they do this only to create buzz and make them feel good about the initial investment they made. I've seen a few in the SSP hobby that are absolutely rediculus. The ones I really get a kick out of are those who post salvage / junk for NOS prices.

greedy gougers have been around the hobby for awhile now. We run them out of here but they flourish on other sites. Just part of the process. They run out of parts and usually go away.

silliness.....

I know. I am amazed at the silly things that get put online sometimes. :No no: Usually it's just somebody looking to turn a quick buck. For instance, look at the guy in Florida who has for sale: 1988 PCSD; 1993 CHP; and 1993 FHP unmarked. He's asking close to $90K for all three cars. Insane!

It is the same in any hobby. I am watching guys trying to sell 375 Winchester brass for 3.00 each. I bought my last bag of 50 for 21.00 last year. The guy with the 3 SSP cars will figure it out eventually.

He's trying to appeal to rich foreign buyers. The CHP car is listed on Craigslist in Berlin Germany!

I think (know) what separates us from the pack
we are the real car guys.
not flippers or car salesmen
our DNA,blood sweat and sometimes tears go into this hobby.
And these cars.
We appreciate and respect their history and
can't get enough of it.
I have sold some cars in the past that i now regret selling.
but i had no room and just had to :(
but i have never bought a car just to sell. ever!
