Did the CHP ever use a fox body mustang convertible ?

Anything is possible, I suppose, but I have never heard of the CHP having one. It would not be a SSP Mustang though. There have been a wide variety of CHP cars over the years, if anyone has some photos they'd like to share...

NCSHP has a 1984 GT convertible that is painted in their colors and has their seal, and has equipment, but it is not an SSP. Not sure where they got the car from. Also not sure if they ever used it for any official duties or if it has been strictly a car for parades, shows, etc.

I think that NCSHP one may be a 1985 GT Convertible, or at least that I what my notes have from when the NCSHP provided me full access to all their historic cars in Raleigh about 5 years ago. It was never used for official duty, just as a public relations vehicle. I was told that it was donated by admirer of the NCSHP, but I don't have any further details in that regard. I have some pics of the Door Tag for it, so would have to look that over to confirm the year of the vehicle, though. Thanks!
