Oil pressure sending unit

Just got this car and the oil pressure gauge is reading low, so I checked the oil level, and i'ts over filled. Also, there are quite a few oil leaks I need to take care of. Motor seems strong with no knocks or any strange noises at all. I've got an '89 model and the sending unit appears to be for a later model. Any thoughts would be appreciated. ThanksAttachment 8580
