Jim, it was nice to meet you and I have to say that the 1992 CHP is one nice car. You were very meticulous with the restoration and it will fill the void of the Mach very well.

I got to say it was hard to let go of Dory (Mach 1). I enjoyed her much but I needed a change (Not Obama type) and when Jim brought up his '92 CHP in our equipment conversation I knew it would be just what I needed. As fate would have it, we were in acquiescence for the deal before it ever came up.

The trip up was uneventful but boy on the way down it was a hurricane. Long story short, I blew two tires from the vehicle trailer within a 60 mile stretch. I found out the hard way that replacing tires on the highway is costly, $255.00 each. The friend I borrowed the trailer from did not have a spare. Oh well, you live and learn. So to you guys, rent a trailer or have one or two spares with you. The remainder of the trip I did not exceed 50mph so that the other two tire would not blow.

My plans are still to do a complete resto of my 1985 CHP8302 as the cars and equipment are so different.

Jim enjoy the Mach 1 as much as I am going to enjoy the CHP.
