The cat is out of the bag. I've worked on the car in my garage the past 2 days and neither my Daughter (Mustang nut @ 12) or my wife (cars are appliances believer) noticed it was not the same car. Our cat did notice today, as my wife told me when I got home from lunch with my brother (a car guy, who also did not notice that he was riding in a different car until I pointed out the absence of equipment that he had seen the last time he rode with me) that the cat was scared of the exhaust noise as I pulled into the garage. She said nothing about it being nosier than before, just that it scared the cat, so I let it go. I'm sure I could of gotten away with the deception until next April when I would of had to get both of them out of the neighbor's garage. After a couple of hours I decided to reveal the ruse to my wife (honesty is the best policy in a marriage). I put a good spin on the situation by telling her about how I had sold my GSP SSP clone for "X" dollars and the total cost of the 2 MN SSPs added up to the same "X" dollars. I told her I did not tell her earlier because she was stressed about having just spent 12 days away from home moving her Mother back here from Portland. The icing on the cake was the appraisal I got done yesterday on the car showing that it was going to be insured for over 3 times what I paid for it. My stable is now full and I won't be in the market for any more Mustangs (at least not in this life). Now off to deal with the cat that almost blew it for me!
