The seller is high on the price, but someone with money in-hand could likely get it for less dough. Let's face it, these cars do not come up for sale that often, and it is a cool piece of CHP history that deserves to be restored. We do not have the resource we had a few years ago on getting Assignment Cards, so it will be difficult to document more SMPVs unless we can match VINs to in-service photos like this car. Although the seller is asking too much, no one should hesitate if this is the SSP they've always wanted. I doubt that a 4th SMPV will be popping up for sale any time soon.
