That's right Bill, your car has to be 25 MODEL years old and of historic interest-as defined by our DMV:

"...a vehicle is of historic interest if it is collected, restored, maintained, and operated by a collector or hobbyist principally for purposes of exhibition and historic vehicle club activities."

I sent along copies of my operating agreement and letters from the CHP with my plate application and received them back within a week.

I will enjoy having them displayed as they help establish intent as to why I am operating such a vehicle upon the fine roads of this state and maybe avoid that LE contact where the first question asked is "what is this thing?"
