Good question! There are a few reasons. One of them is actually some of the very issues we are talking about in this thread. It's embarassing to see some of what has been going on, and I really don't want to be associated with those aspects of the hobby. I think we are moving in the right direction here, and I recently had a conversation with another member about getting one finished and making some shows.
Another reason is that I have 2 Harleys sitting in the garage and I'm currently in the process of building up one, a 2011 FLHTP. Here's a pic of the VRod (I'm done with the mods to it).
