Notice that this 1989 SMPV does have a 1/4 panel whip, unlike the pair of SMPVs pictured above.


#5260 has the normal complement of whip and repeater antenna plus a C/B antenna on the deck. Word was the single Sti-Co u/c antenna that the '89 SMPVs were originally equipped with proved ineffective and were replaced with the standard items. Ditto for the corded spotlight so you'll notice that unit has regular spots too. Ken found that his '89 SMPV #435300 (blue/white) was drilled for spots but he's omitting them and restoring the car back to it's as-delivered from Motor Trans. configuration. Can't recall what antenna holes he found save for one on the deck lid.
