Also, you might send a PM to GSPI about the door jam sticker. He has a lot of super-cool detective tricks to figure out what was glued/stuck to something. I bet he has a trick for figuring out the door jamb sticker. Because it was one of those labels, there wouldn't have been adhesive where the letters and number were. So if you can use a UV light, or something like that, there should be a way to see only the adhesive there... and thus the negative for the unit number. Hopefully he chimes in here...

Yes, that is correct. UV lighting helps in identifying problems with adhesives and plastic labels that have been glued over things in a car...which is used in identifying fraudulent labels on ID tags for cars when they are suspected stolen.
