Jim left our house this morning at 0500, so he will be home in the near future.
We had a great visit! I had both batteries charged up, and the GT fired right up for Jim. The SMPV needed a gallon of gas in the tank, so a bit of starting fluid was used to get her running until the carb rec'd fuel. Both cars were loaded before dark (barely!), and Jim finished loading the parts while I fired up the grill. The three of us split 5 filet mignons, washed down with some beer/Bourbon.
Jim and I looked up some SMPV information before turning in, and I got a kick outa how excited Jim was about the documentation that Jack (Va 5.0) had found, and the photos and other details that will help Jim restore the car correctly. I am VERY pleased that Jim picked up both cars. Plus, I now have my 2-car garage back for my 66 coupe and 94 Cobra. That makes me quite happy.
