Cobb county Sheriffs SSP's
Small world; Guy called me today asking about some parts for his 87 GT. Well it turns out he works for the Sandy springs police Dept. We got to talking and I told him about my new SSP and how it had been brown met at one time like the Cobb sheriffs cars. He tells me he's friends with a senior officer that worked for that dept. for over 20 years and drove one of those brown Mustangs. He called and ask what he remembered about the cars only to find out he was very involved with them. He told us the cars were originally white (like my car) then sent to a local body shop (still in bussiness) and painted the sheriffs brown met. He is supposed to call me tomarrow so we can talk in depth. I remember these cars myself and have often mentioned to my friends that I wonder what ever became of those cars. With some more digging maybe I can determine if this is one of them or not. Turns out not be the GSP I was hoping for but if it turns out to be one of Cobb's old cars that might be even better!!! If not I'm still tickle about my new addition...
