From the black engine compartment, polished drip rail, and what looks to be a tan steering wheel, I'm gonna guess that's a 1985 CHP Mustang.

Im gonna say 84 CHP because of the side moulding could be 82 though. The front cover throughs you off at first. If your Dads buying it its probably one of those two lol

HINT: The correct hubcaps are hard to find in nice shape. And by the way you are right about it being a CHP Bill
And the wheel lip chrome is a very rare option haha |
