Paint removal from vinyl
Does anyone know a good method to remove automotive paint from vinyl? It seems that the last time my car was painted they did not do a good mask job prior to spraying and got reef blue paint on the edges of the door panels. I'd hate to have to spend $400 for new door panels if I can simply clean off the reef blue from my opal gray door panels.

try a little acetone. Dap a little and soften the old paint, then lightly rub the paint off.
If all else fails, repaint the panel with titanium gray vinyl paint. Both doors.

A rag, WD-40 or a residue remover such as Goo Gone, Oops, etc., and lots of rubbing.

Thanks guys. I had tried Goof Off, Turpensal and ThinZit with not much success. But that was all I had on hand. I'll grab some of the other stuff and see what happens. I just do not want the vinyl to be damaged is all.

Perhaps a "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser" will do the trick. I would think some of the other items mentioned would melt the vinyl.
