3 Special Items
I finaally got around to taking this picture to tell this story. Mike's score on the NCHP radio and my trip to the mailbox today got me motivated....
When Bruce, Joe and i went to Lansing last month to the MSP EVOC facility we made a side trip across the way to the MSP museum. We ended up in the media center and I met the two people responsible for making the MSP Driver Orientation Video in 1989. Many of you have seen it or have a copy but for those who havn't it was a video produced by MSP to announce to the troops the purchase of the 14 cars for 1989. While we were there they burnt me a copy of the video and autographed it for me. (actually I think it was for Bruce but I ended up with it since I have the 89 car.) They told us the stroy of how in 1989 the bosses showed up with nothing but a 1989 Owners manual, gave it to them and said here........teach the troops about these cars. (remember that for later.) Needless to say I was happy to get the signed video as both of them will be retiring in a couple of years. When we were at the evoc track I tried to get one of the guys to give up an original MSP fleet key fob. They said they didn't have any of the old ones left and they were using a new style. No big deal as I have the original that came with my car but it is very worn out and hard to read. Well I opened my mail today and my bud Joe H dug around in his box of goodies and found me one. That was a nice suprise and a big thumbs up to JOE !!!! The last item you see is an original 1989 Mustang owners manual. When I got back to Bruces house the day we went to Lansing he said he had something for me. I guess several years ago when Bruce went up to Lansing to get stuff for his car the video guys gave him the original manual that had been given to them. Now I have no way of knowing if it came from my car but I do know it came from one of the original 89 MSP mustangs. The trip was great and I have the name of the person to write to so that I can go back up and get some more goodies. The fleet manager was very nice and wants to help with the restoration and he says he has some stuff for me so we will see..... ok...that's all for now. chasing this stuff down for these cars is a good time for sure.

Very nice. I agree researching our cars is one of the best things about them...as I recently discovered myself.
