The seller sent me a picture of the door's VIN label, but the door is from a regular 88 coupe. However, the VIN is 247027 which is part of a 168 batch of 86 V8 coupes that also contains some confirmed CHP Mustangs. The seller said it has two Buck Tags, but he cannot read them. Given the other clues from the ad (relocated trunk release and black paint under the hood), it is most likely a SSP from the CHP.

Poor car, probably side-showed to death. It would take some hefty coin to bring this one back.

Damn, that's a shame. If someone had an '86 notch with a gray interior it'd sure make the restoration easier. Hate to see one lost to the masses like this.
