The finishing touch for my car arrived today, it having finally become eligible for these plates on 1/1/14. Lovin' it!

I guess it only took 25 years to get those antique plates for your '88 SSP???

Quote:
"...a vehicle is of historic interest if it is collected, restored, maintained, and operated by a collector or hobbyist principally for purposes of exhibition and historic vehicle club activities." I sent along copies of my operating agreement and letters from the CHP with my plate application and received them back within a week. I will enjoy having them displayed as they help establish intent as to why I am operating such a vehicle upon the fine roads of this state and maybe avoid that LE contact where the first question asked is "what is this thing?" |

Do you still have to cover up the decals, etc. when it reaches this status (like you would normally), or, does it give more leeway with CA on how they look at the car?
