Default CHP Shotgun mount map light (Roxter)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAP-L...82413634QQrdZ1

The seller says federal signal but not sure they ever made one.

I have a brand new one in the box and it is identical to that. Not sure why the seller states it as a Federal Signal light though.

This might be something Andy needs for his car down the road.

FYI, they are still available brand new from Roxter and go for about $65. Be advised that the new ones have a larger diameter neck that's mostly just noticable if you put a new one and an original CHP used one side by side. I'll post up a photo of that comparison when I dig it up. The one for sale looks like it's a newer model but can't tell for sure from the photo.

i compared it to my two original issue CHP lights and it looked dead on to me. I will contact the seller and see if he can clarify. He has several other CHP specific items listed as well. I doubt he will mis-represent the item as he is a reliable seller. I wonder if the CHP is still using the new lights from them, hence they would be corect anyway?????

The difference between the old and new is small but very noticable if you compare them side-by-side. Roxter made the switch to the new neck long after the CHP quit using them. I know someone who bought a new Roxter around '99 and it still had the narrow neck but the ones I bought in '04 had the wider neck. The one for sale could have a narrow neck but it's just hard for me to tell for sure from those photos.
