Just signed up on here and this is my car! I'm on fep too. Had an 84 GT that I was building that I got rid of, 85 T-Top (project white trash), and an 82 Capri (project black sheep). Well I traded the Capri I had for this SSP!

Nice car, what year is it ?
I sent you a P.M. on driving a marked vehicle etc. You'll have to check vehicle code laws in your state on that. And... welcome to the site ! John

Mines a 1993. Has all original windows with no cracks. Just found the original signal master lights here locally and may be picking the 2 rear lights and the long light bar tomorrow!

So I was trying to make some brackets which is going well, but I'm running into fitment issues with my light bar. It seems like it's just too long! Every pic that I see has the same setup. Mine just won't fit because the seatbelt mount things are in the way. Ive tried to move some things around, but still the same. I've seen some pics where the lights look staggered, and that may fix the issue, but it seems like my light bar is too long. I've searched and I think mine is what I'm supposed to have. Sml8-30 is what I have.... anyone know what I need?

Be sure to check the equipment details contained here:
http://www.specialservicemustang.net/CHP.htm There is a good shot of the rear deck lighting installation and brackets there. The arrowstick should fit between the seat belt retractors and the stagger can be seen in these photos: |
