Default SSP Upholstery

I was told that SSP uphostery is actually a little different than stock. I had never heard of this before. Can anyone confirm or deny this and tell me what the difference is?

You were told wrong. Later SSPs got reinforced seat backs but no difference in the upholstery itself.

I never once thought there was a difference until calling FMR about LX upholstery. I was asked whether or not it was an SSP. When I asked why, I was told there was a very slight difference and the SSP upholstery is nearly impossible to find. Super helpful guys over there, great products.

Thinking more about it, he had to have thought I wanted upholstery for a sport seat. I asked for sand beige upholstery for an '89 LX coupe. Probably why he asked if it was an SSP and switched to sport seats when I said it wasn't. This is when he said the SSP fabric was different.

contact SMS Fabrics direct. They will send you a sample to make sure it is correct. They have all years in stock. It is expensive but the right stuff.
