1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Coupe/SSP Notchback (former Highway Patrol car). 5-speed. 165,290 original miles. Cold air intake, aftermarket headers, new Magnaflow X-pipe exhaust system with catalytic converters (all modifications CARB California smog legal). New Tokico shocks. Recent complete rebuild on transmission, Steeda short-throw shifter (still have original), and drive shaft. Rear end completely rebuilt with new Ford Motorsports bearings, seals, axles, and ring and pinion. Car painted (black) 3/2011. New spark plug wires. Tires in good condition with plenty of tread. Original interior & steering wheel. Have newer, perfect rear quarter windows (not installed). Car is straight, no accidents. Drives well & quick. Highway Patrol SSP mustangs came with heavy duty radiators, engine oil coolers, full-size spare tires & reinforced floor pans. Commonly came with automatics, very few with 5-speeds. I was restoring it to be a fun daily driver; now need to sell to fix up house. This car is stock with the exception of the above mentioned performance parts. A good daily driver & ready to go. Never been raced or abused. This car passes California smog perfectly. All scheduled maintenance, Mostly highway miles. Asking $7200.00 or best offer. This is a rare and original car. Call Travis or Jim (714) 745-4476 or (909) 732-0676 days/evenings.
