I bought this car to save it from being turned into a race car. It is a genuine 87 FHP car with the correct DSO tag on the drivers door and "police" on the title. It would be nice to get it together but I probably wont have the time for several years and already have an FHP car. I would like to see it go to someone that will put it back the way it was (STOCK !!) rather than modify it or turn it into a gutted race car. The car has no interior, no engine or trans, no wiring etc. It is all there on the exterior with the exception of the trim for the windows and the metal bumpers and supports. The car has straight rockers and a solid front end, no damage to the radiator support or framerails and I would say it has never been in a wreck from looking at it. The floorpan on the drivers side needs a complete replacement and the passenger side needs some work at the front. The cowl is clean as is the trunk area and the tops above the taillights. The roof is clean but shows rust where the holes for the equipment were. You can see a slight spot where the spotlight was on the a-pillar. Car has its original drivers door which needs to be replaced or reskinned. The passenger door has been replaced, it does not have the square openings for the outer belt molding. I am assuming it was replaced with another FHP door in service as the door is black inside and shows black paint under the green it was repainted after service. Front cover is in good condition as well as the rear and both seen to be original. The original key set is there with the door and trunk locks but the ignition key has been changed- no biggie, an easy rekey to match the doors. Buck tag is there but FHP tag is not. It has no windshield but all the other glass is there, rear quarter windows are actually in good condition, not hard to refinish and look nice. Original rear end is still in the car, frame rails and torque boxes are in great shape. I may have some other parts here for the car if you can talk me into giving them to you. This car would be great for someone that has a wrecked or rusted 5.0 Mustang. It has a pedigree that will make the car worth more than many other foxbodies when finished. If you're going to put money into a car this is a great way to make sure your investment is worth it in the long run.
