don't know about mustangs but MADD donated a vhs recorder in 1990 and I installed it in my 1987 crown vic. It was attached to a bracket that attached to the passenger side headrest. It was huge ........ but state of art stuff back then.

The GSP Mustangs 88 and up used Panasonic camcorders on nearly all of their units. A few were fitted with Mobil visions later though.

Yes it is... I've been looking for a while now and just recently found one. GSP removed upper handle and lower shoulder support and mounted them to roof by passenger sunvisor. I actually have an in service pic with this set up I'll be including in the GSP restoration document.

I've got an old JVC VHS / 8mm setup that mounts on the windshield. Its in a aluminum case with all the mounts and stuff. I got it from a friend who was going to toss it, but if someone needs it for a resto I'd sell it for the cost of shipping.
