Washed the Death Trap
Right now, the 90 CHP is considered a death trap. Broken light lenses all around, bad paint, almost bald tires, bad struts, clutch could die at any time, broken seat brackets, busted dash, old instrument cluster could have burned the whole car up (friend who had it replaced it), and the list goes on
Before- Our white cat was laying on the roof of this thing while the dew was still present. Cat walks off half white, half red... After- Next stop, improve interior... |

It's cool to see how the B&W paint scheme has bled through the maroon topcoat. You can clearly see the paint-break on the c-pillar.

Most of those repaints were so cheap that with a little time you could hose them off with a pressure washer.

I took a garden hose to the trunk of my 85. They didn't even sand, but the paint on the underside of the lid bonded pretty well. The paint color on this 90 was pretty cool when it was new. I'd consider painting a future car the same color. I'd just buy good materials and prep correctly My dad wants to make this one a DD. Black with white roof and door jambs, open the antenna/spotlight holes, and fix the mechanical and interior problems I'll most likely learn how to drive a stick in this or the EVOC |

LOL That car was in great shape when I brought it to Medford in 96.
I drove it right from Motor Transport next to the academy straight home. ( in record time I might add ) LOL I think I paid $3200.00 or $3300.00 wasn't over that I don't think. The AC wasn't working real well, as most don't. But it ran like a raped ape !! Sad to see it in the shape it is in. Hope it sees better days again. Wish I'd kept it now.
