Adding to what ImEvil1 posted, most of the DSO 83-xxxx tags that I have seen have also been stamped a nondescript "GOVT."

You think a carfax would tell me more info also When I was shopping for my notch I was looking for a nice clean one I found this one and later I found out about it being a ssp so my? Is are these car hard to find? Just want to know what I have.

Carfax might show where it was first registered, after it came out of service...but that might not be necessarily the same state it was sold in.

I'd start by trying to locate the prior owners.

for mine the carfax says build date and when the first owner owned it nothing in between 10/92 till 5/1999

You will probably want to order a Marti Report on your car to confirm the options:

The Deluxe report will also include the name of the ordering dealer, and list add'l information.

I have a similar carfax. Dead air.

I did a car fax on my today and there was nothing. I also have a black 93 Govt. car...
