The CL ad was in Detroit, MI area in Sept 2013. Maybe the car made it's way to McKinney, TX?
I checked all of the VINs in that range (all VINs after 72-0082) and none had McKinney, TX in their events list. |

The seller may have an open title from the time he bought it, so there wouldn't be any records in Texas yet. This ARIZONA car with its different options from regular AzDPS cars sure is a mystery in regards to who originally used it. It reminds me of the 1985 "CALIFORNIA" SSP Mustangs that were not CHP. Perhaps this 1986 SSP was state owned originally versus being AzDPS? Or maybe AzDPS used it for non-patrol purposes?
Bobby has had great success with getting documentation from the GSP. Maybe we should turn him loose on AzDPS to see what he can find? ![]()

I have been to the AzDPS fleet offices and also spoke with veteran officers who drove the mustangs, neither recall any blue cars assigned to the agency. City of Mesa did have have a few, according to a senior officer who was involved in their driver training program. My DSO is 75-0092 kinda close to this one. Both blue on blue and automatics. There was no build sheet in mine so this 86s' build sheet is a help!
