| Hello from Utah!

Hi everybody! I have what I believe to be a 1985 (5/85 build) SSP from Utah. I have had the car for almost 10 yrs., it has been sitting for the past 8. DSO tag reads: 76-0052 Utah However, the car does not have any holes in the A-pillars, nor in the trunk, etc. I am hoping I can find out more info about this car. I would like to restore it, it is in very rough condition right now. I really look forward to getting to know you guys, and I really appreciate the time, knowledge and expertise that is available here.. |

Welcome aboard! You have a pretty rare car. Do you have any pics you can post? Glad to hear you are going to restore it and there's a pretty good group here ready to help.

I do have a couple. I'll post them up tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, the car did not have any equipment with it when I bought, and I have no history of the car. I'm not even sure where to start...

Rough but a good place to start! Looks like the trunk lid is not original. There may be holes that were filled between the outer edge of the 1/4 and the trunk lid itself. You have at least one of the steel wheels still! Also you have one of the RARE small buck tags as previously posted.

Look inside the trunk area for a filler patch here: Check both sides of the car.

I will check that location this evening. There are also no holes in the A-pillars for spotlights. How would I tell if the deck lid is original? How would I tell if this was an unmarked unit or a car that was used for some purpose besides Highway Patrol? Edit: I have 4 steel wheels, two are just not on the car. |

You lucked out on the wheels, congrats! The interior pillar panels could have been replaced with newer plastics to hide the holes. Take off the interior A-pillar cover and look behind it.

Does it have the pocket on the front of the rear seat bottom?
