Didn't know where to post this, but I have seen 2 S197 (05-up) Mustang SSP's in South Carolina. One was spotted on I-20 about 30 miles out of Columbia heading towards Florence. It was all black and un-marked. Had someone pulled over. Very stealth! The other was spotted in Lexington, SC turning onto Highway 6 off of Platt Springs Rd. and hauling butt with lights and siren blaring. This one was silver and also un-marked. Just thought I'd share this info with you guys. Sorry I don't have any pics. I spotted both of them while driving and couldn't get any.

I think those are just regular Mustangs, not SSPs since Ford no longer makes an SSP Mustang. Nice that they are using them though, all the same.

Why do you say not SSP's? Are you saying that they don't have an SSP option?

The last Mustang Ford built with a police (special service) package option was the 1993 model. All Mustangs operated by police agencies since then are regular, civilian models modified by them for their own use. Nothing wrong with that as the newer models are superior to the old Fox body based cars in many ways but they aren't considered SSPs, that designation is only for the 1982-93 factory cars.
