85/85 Steel Wheel Question
Is $125 plus $25 shipping each a fair price to pay for a NOS 85/86 steel wheel? I know they were about $60 each when you could still get them at the Ford dealers back in the early nineties. I got a set of 4 never mounted NOS steel wheels (one has a fixable dent in the lip) for $600 shipped and want to know if I did O.K. (vs. fueling the inflation of our hobby). I wanted a second set so I can mount them with new tires, so I can attend car shows farther away (I don't really trust the 1986 vintage Gatorbacks that I have on the car now for anything but local shows). Thanks for the read,
Bob

Sounds fair to me. If they are the ones from eBay, I think he was originally trying to get 1k out of them.

$125 has been the going rate for unfinished examples, lately. I have not seen them under $100 in some time. Good buy for the set that you purchased, IMO.

you did good and the price is fair as long as you can repair the dent. from what I saw in his auction it should be an easy fix with a good ball peen hammer. I sold the extra set of four used ones for 560.00 shipped last month.

I think those are still on eBay too - they have been relisted numerous times w/ the same $1k BIN pricing...
