2012 SSP's?
The Oregon State Police are running Mustangs again! I've seen 4 or 5 on I-5 around Salem to Eugene this week. They are unmarked in various solid colors. If I can get pics I will post them.

They could be Marion County mustangs. They buy around 2 a year. My dad is in charge of the vehicle fleet for the Josephine County sheriffs office (also a deputy), and he bought the 2 '04 GTs they had for traffic use down here.
Please post pics |

They get white ones (unless they mixed up the line up) like this one. They also had their decals on the side. This is one of the 2 JoCo SO got.
These cars light up like christmas trees. There are even LEDs in the hood scoop |

Not SSPs, and many agencies around the country are running them.

If the OP is able to get some pictures, that would be nice to see.
Yes, the S197 Mustangs being put into service are regular production GT's and even some V6 cars. Although they are not true SSP's, it will be interesting to see how these cars fair over the years as collectables. Documentation will be key to proving the car is something special in terms of police use. However, I doubt their history will add much to their collector value, at least no more than it would for any other police-use vehicle that is not a package car.
