Congrats, Bill! So glad you ended up with the car - and - on to the next chapter for it's history.

As an aside, I worked out a deal with the museum for the radio equipment that Rhino had with the car. All of it will be shipped with the magnets that they forgot to put into the car when it was shipped. |

Documentation was included in the purchase, and the museum put it all in the car when it was shipped. Bobby snapped this photo of a picture of a red traffic unit. There may be no way to confirm this photo as being my car but it does show some interesting details on how this car was marked. The scroll under the molding is fairly clear, and there is no unit number or SHERIFF marking on the front fender. It is my understanding that the PCSD would change the markings somewhat on the cars while they had them, and it could be that not all cars were consistently marked the same way.

very nice Bill. Glad it made it safely and the deal went through. That is going to be a great addition to the MCA show at Niagra next year right?????

The Niagara MCA Show runs July 22-24 2016. The car should be in fine shape at that point, so I will put it on the calendar as a "strong maybe". The 2016 MCA National Show is Sept 30 - Oct 2 2016 and is in Myrtle Beach, SC. If we bring the PCSD car down there for that show it may stay in South Carolina indefinitely!

The unit # was only on the driver's side front fender (mailbox numbers). Scroll work was on both doors under the molding. Although, in this pic the scroll is darker (black with gold relief), and I have seen one version which was lighter (goldfish color with darker writing). Maybe they changed it up based on what was available at the County garage. The full shield on the in-service car was done at some point - perhaps preference at the time, but the molding with the cut shield is correct on both sides.
Interesting to see the lightbar bolted through the roof. Which wreaked havoc on the cars with roof ripples/bar movement. So cool to see this in-service pic. Thanks for sharing!

The title arrived today, along with the repair receipts from previous owners. Also included were the all-important Buck Tags! I am VERY pleased that these did not get lost along the way.
