The seller is posting about it on .org. This car is definitely Jeff Allen's old car.

Isn't funny how "someone" keeps bidding on these cars, driving the price up....then all of a sudden "the car doesn't sell" and then gets re-listed on e-bay over the next 3-6 months? Wondering if e-bay is looking into all this bidding action?

I have suspicions about this also. I think the MAGM Klub has a network. They bid on the stuff for each other, get it close to reserve, then hope that someone bids at the end and meets reserve. We have caught them doing it in the past. A dealer puts a car up and miraculously they get 20 bids in the first two days. We see this over and over. Ebay enabled this type of unethical behavior to flourish when they hid all bidders identity. It was the same situation in the days of the "private" auction. There are, however, a couple of ways to get around the ebay system to figure out who the shill bidders are and identify them. My best advice is to not buy anything from certain dealers where you see this happening. They sell cars for a reason, and it is not to "further the hobby". Some dealers may not make a profit on the cars, but when you run all of the sales through your business name, any loss becomes a cozy tax write off, as do your expenses for travel, meals and other costs to attend vehicle sales/promotion/contest related events. There are plenty of cars available from reputable individuals. I say to anyone looking for an SSP to just be patient and wait for the right car to come along.

I don't recall seeing a 'Buy It Now' option before so looks like that has been added at $12,500.

4 grand profit wasn't enough ??? I am glad it didn't sell. Maybe people that like these cars are getting wise to the flippers that hurt the hobby.
