Default 1988 FHP SSP Mustang "FHP0739"

Well without getting into a long story I am placing both of my Mustang's up for sale. I really hope the '94 GT sells first but if not then this one must go.

This is a 1988 FHP SSP that was restored by Doug approx. 7 years ago. This is NOT a concourse restoration, but it is very nice and has won approx. 25 tropies over the years. The true unit number is not known, but is known in the SSP community as FHP0739, which is actually the last 4 digits of the VIN. After life with the FHP this car was used by the Auburdale, FL PD as a SRO car. It was one of two they used for SRO duty and it was never used as a patrol vehicle by them.

Exterior:

The paint looks great as you can tell in the photos. Does have some small scratches and rock chips here and there as this car was drove to car shows not trailered. The decals are on the car are not magnetic, but could be removed if you wanted to go that route. The buck tags are in place and were reattached when the car was repainted. Has the original driver door along with the VIN decal and all the information you will need to verify it being a true FHP SSP. As far as the other VIN decals the only original ones remaining are the two on the rear quarter panels. I know for sure the hood is not original and I believe the fenders were also replaced when it was restored. The wheels were painted with a special Dupont paint and they will not chip or scratch.

Mechanical:

The car has just under 190k on her and runs like a champ. Now on long trips I have noticed when getting off the highway you will get a cloud of white smoke out the exhuast but that is it. The transmission was rebuilt and a new clutch and related pieces were installed. Has OEM cat back and a O/R H-pipe currently. Other than the H-pipe the car is all stock and original. Also the rear seals in the axle were replaced as well as many other odds and ends. Car has new OEM headlights and parking lights.

Emergency Equipment:

This car has been done as a slick top for ease of driving. Car has two blue flashing lights on the rear deck, flashing red lights on windshield, wig wag head lights, tail lights, and reverse lights. Has working Micor radio and a K-55 radar which powers on but needs serviced to work correctly. Also has some items in the trunk for shows and so forth.

I have probably forgot a few things as I write this but I will add them as I remember.

Price as is: $8700

Price as is with correct fender decals, chain drive Jetsonic, and correct rear dash lights: $9000

Here is some pictures of the car. http://s461.photobucket.com/albums/q...92/1988%20FHP/ I will add some more interior shots in the next day or so.
